A Full Moon Meditation - Our Forever Meditation
Sat Nam Everyone!
Welcome to the Video of Sangeet’s Full Moon Meditation she led on Tuesday night November 8th 2022.
The meditation features the “Mul (root) Mantra” (sometimes spelled “Mool Mantra”), one of Sangeet’s most favorite!
Perhaps you are asking yourself: When is the Full Moon meditation most effective?
According to old yoga lore, the effects of the Full Moon begin 3-5 days before fullness and last 3-5 days after fullness. So a Full Moon meditation is most effective anytime 5 days before and after the actual Full Moon.
But remember, this is a meditation and meditations (with rare exceptions) can be done anytime. In fact, the best time to do a meditation is “today.” Perhaps even “now.” So, don’t fret over when to do a Full Moon meditation, just sit down and enjoy doing it! No worries...
This meditation itself is a universal awakening to the over-riding power of the Sound Current of the Divine Heavens throughout all consciousness.
Over and over ring the opening words “Ek Ong Kaar” – Creator and Creation are One! (God and we are One!)
This affirms The Eternal Divine Life of every Soul.
On this video we do the meditation for 31 minutes. But you can actually do the meditation for any length of time – it is all precious.
What does this mantra tell us? Our Soul was placed in body to live and learn and always learn to be as God is. Even beyond life. It is a statement of Eternal Life.
All of our living experiences continue to feed back to and inform Creator God.
Chanting the Mul Mantra allows the cycle of your karma to be “erased in a manner of speaking,” karma having been created by things left incomplete in past lifetimes and each day we move onward. Not just actions incomplete, but thoughts, wishes, promises, commitments, even sentences and phrases themselves. So the timeless Master Yogi-Teacher described karma to us.
This Mul Mantra is forever effective. Your chanting voice joins with countless millions in the Universal Destiny-sphere who continually vibrate these words as sacred.
The Mul Mantra has quite a few words. If you are not familiar with them, chant along with Sangeet the best you can, as the meditation will still work!
Here is the mantra:
The “Mul Mantra”
Ek Ong Kaar
Sat Nam
Karta Purkh
Nirbhao
Nirvair
Akal Murat
Adjoonee
Saibhang
Guru Prasaad
Jap!
Aad Sach
Jugaad Sach

Translation
Creator and Creation are one. I am one with Creator and with all creation.
This Great Truth is my identity, confirmed as I vibrate God’s Name.
God is the Doer. I am the Doer. God works through me and through all Creation.
God is fearless. I am fearless.
God has no anger or revenge. I have no anger or revenge.
God is undying and beyond form, so am I in my Infinite Essence.
God is unborn, beyond birth and death. So am I in my Infinite Essence.
God is self illumined. I am self illumined. Within me I have the power of all light.
This is known by the grace of the True Guru, God.
Meditate and reflect on this!
This was true in the Beginning
This is true throughout the ages
This is true here and now
Says Nanak, these truths shall forever and always be true.
Here's How To Do The Meditation:
Asana (Posture)
Sit on the floor in Easy Pose (legs crossed) or sit in a chair with feet flat on the floor. Remember to keep your spine straight during the meditation.
Drishti and Pranayam (Eyes and Breath)
Eyes are closed and looking out the “Third Eye point” as you can. The breath is relaxed and will adjust itself as you chant.
Mudra (Hand and Arm Position)
Hands can be either: crossed on the chest at the heart center, left hand under right, or in Prayer Pose at the chest.
We know you will fall in love with this meditation as we have. Enjoy this meditation for the rest of your life.
As a side note, Sangeet wrote a wonderful article (April 24, 2020) on her love of the Mul Mantra – click here for the article.
