The Autumnal Equinox Full Moon!

Dear Family & Friends,

Celebrate tonight with meditation, positive words and the warmth of loving community! Why? Because the long hours of the moon’s “pull” on all the water elements here on earth – especially in us humans – can raise tides and emotions to the max.

Tonight is the only full moon night of the month when the moon is visible from just after sunset all the way to sunrise.

The Algonquin Native American tribes referred to October’s Moon as the Full Hunter’s Moon because it marks the time to go hunting in preparation for winter. The Hunter’s Moon is always the first full Moon after the Harvest Moon, which is the closest full moon to the autumnal equinox.

Since the harvesters have reaped the fields, hunters can easily see the animals that have come out to forage. Other tribes named this the Full Traveler’s Moon and the Dying Grass Moon.

In India it is celebrated happily by several spiritual paths as it marks the end of the monsoon season, so a blessing indeed!

Looking at the planetary numerology for this month in this year’s 11 cycle, October (a 3 Cycle) is the time we must sharpen not our bows but our laughter and happy thoughts. We need to capture and project positive consciousness, and happiness sounds do that best. So tonight we chant with joy and meditate to build our strong and welcoming community together.

Bless you all in all ways always!

Sangeet

Compatibility and Support Information for Computers / Smart Phone / Tablets

Please note that on some computers, phones and tablets the video can take up to 60 seconds to start (it is buffering the video stream).

Video support for mobile devices ("smart" phones and tablets) is often iffy because they use the newer and currently less compatible "HTML5" video instead of Flash.

Desktop/laptop computers (Windows, Mac and Linux) work best because they come with Adobe Flash Player. Please check that you have a very recent version of Flash. Video support for mobile devices, however, is often iffy. Mac users often have problems with the built-in browser "Safari". Install Google's "Chrome" browser or Mozilla's "Firefox" browser and use either one of those instead. (The difference between those two mostly has to do with privacy -with Chrome, being from Google, you surrender all your privacy [same as using Safari] and Firefox, being from the Mozilla Foundation, you retain much of your privacy.)

Android Smart Phone and Tablet users -In the recent versions of Andriod the built-in browser is called "Chrome." It is most compatible and usually works very well. If the video is not playing correctly, then there is not really anything that can be done other than try a desktop computer if one is nearby -that may work better for you.

Firefox-for-Andriod (free and found in the Google Play store) usually works well. We personally use Firefox-for-Android on our Android devices rather than the built-in brower (for a number of reasons including better privacy and also better compatibility with HTML 5 video). So you might want to give it a try!

iPads and iPhones purchased within the past year or so usually work fine with the video. Older versions often struggle to keep a reliable video connection and there really isn't a way to fix it.

In general, though, if the video stops and there is just a black box without a big "Play" button in the middle of it, "refreshing" your browser usually re-starts the video. Unfortunately, interruptions during live broadcasts are usually unavoidable. However, with the new cutting-edge technology we're using in 2016 combined with you using a computer / smart phone / tablet less than 2 years old can minimized interruptions and in some cases avoid them all together. It is just the nature of this young technology, but it will improve in the coming years.

The Autumnal Equinox Full Moon!

Dear Family & Friends,

Welcome to tonight’s Special Equinox Edition of our monthly Full Moon Meditation.

This time we’re open to all members of our extended family, whereas most months this is a all-women’s healing circle.

I’ll be leading a new tune for the “Ra Ma Da Sa” chant, accompanied by piano, and followed by a gentle meditative layout to the high vibes of the Symphonic Gong.

This September the Full Moon is known as the Full Harvest Moon, as it falls nearest the Autumnal Equinox. When that confluence doesn’t happen, September’s full moon is usually known as the Full Corn Moon because it traditionally corresponds with the time of harvesting corn. It is also called the Barley Moon, as this is the time to harvest and thresh ripened barley. Do you like barley? I remember in my younger years enjoying warm bowls of barley soup. Alas, barley is not gluten free, so I haven't had it in years...

The Harvest Moon – whether it occurs in September or October – provides the most light at the time when it’s needed most – to complete the harvest!

So tonight we light more light into our lives and chant to spread it around our world.

Bless you all in all ways always!

Sangeet

Full Moon Meditation For Women

Dear Family & Friends,

Welcome tonight to a “cooling respite” from the high-temp weather cooking so many of us here in the Southwest and elsewhere around the globe. (Did you read about the record temps in London?)

The healing chant we do tonight provides an opportunity to chill out on our worries and recline our minds in a more restful mood. The vibrations of the gong that follow will seal in happier states for all.

I’ve held these monthly healing meditations for women for 28 years and it is always a happy time for me to see how easily newcomers and returning ladies meet and relax in each other’s company.

So chant with us, then lie back and let the gong do its best for you!

Bless you in all ways always!

Sangeet

Full Moon Meditation For Women

Dear Family & Friends,

For me this Full Moon will be quite an occasion. For the first time since March 28th, I’ll be leading the gentle 31-minute healing meditation live at my home starting at 6 pm. This is my “debut” or first venture out from my hospitalization for spine surgery in April and subsequent complications that kept me hospitalized until mid May and still in gradual recovery with daily physical therapy treatments.

With summer in full bloom this can be a happy time. To Native American tribes it became known as the "Full Strawberry Moon," the "Full Honey Moon" the "Full Mead Moon" and the "Full Rose Moon."

So, I thought I would quietly spend this moon-time joining in with you using our pre-recorded chant on our website. I would still conserve my energy and do my first live event in July. Right? Not so. Because when I saw the numerology for July I realized we had to start on something strong while still in June. Why? Because July is a 9 Cycle Month for the planet and so it can bring endings, reversals and opportunities to lose our way.

So July is a month you and I want to prepare for in advance, and these last few days in June offer great opportunities.

For those who celebrated the Summer Solstice on June 21st (as many of you did at our annual 3HO Yoga Festival in New Mexico), you need to keep doing a key meditation and carry that through the end of July.

For everyone else, it's time to start a solid meditative practice now and keep it going throughout July.

A great boost to that will come now with the energy of the Full Moon, which brings a time for renewal of strength and commitments. That heavenly occurrence starts on the evening of the 27th and carries through the 30th. So anything you start during this period of time and continue can carry you through the waning moon phases into the gradual upswing until lunar fullness occurs again at the end of July.

Then on July 27th we'll gather again on the Full Moon to chant and prepare ourselves for the coming powerful 10 Planetary Cycle of New Beginnings in August.

Welcome tonight and then again, here at my home, for another great chant and gong!

Bless you in all ways always!

Sangeet

Full Moon Meditation For Women

Sat Nam and Greetings Dear Family & Friends!

I'm sorry I can not be with you live tonight so I have for you a beautiful video from a recent Full Moon Mediation.

There won't be a gathering tonight at my home, so instead sit in your sacred space and chant tonight's meditation with me with this video. The video works on smart phones, tablets and computers, so you can chant with me and all the women joining in at the same time!

I ask that you include me in your prayers while I recover from spinal surgery and an unexpected lung infection. Not to worry, I am making good progress and will be back "live" with all of you in no time!

If you would like to leave me a message, you can CLICK HERE for our Contact Us page. Thank You!

Bless you all always,

Full Moon Meditation For Women

Sat Nam and Greetings Dear Family & Friends!

Tonight’s Full Moon Meditation & Gong is open to the whole family as it is the closest celebration to the Equinox, one of four times we year when we open up our traditional monthly women’s healing circle. There’s also special about the moon this time – when the moon goes full on Saturday this will be the last “blue moon” until 2020.

So let’s gather tonight as a family and awaken a new Spring in our lives and particularly in our hearts.

The month of April, arriving this Sunday, brings energy to the heart and to our commitments of love and compassion. That’s because April is a 6 Planetary Cycle month which focuses on heart-based commitments and the home – as in the expression “home is where the heart is.” That means what we begin tonight will give us a head-start for all of April.

Throughout April we can connect our earthly love for individuals with the abundant universal Divine love of “Prem” that flows to us all from across the universe. Divine love gives us reason to love without fear or anger, to drop conditions and help raise up others’ spirits with trust and faith. With this boost we can build compassion around the globe. So this Spring can spring eternal!

Bless you all always,
