We've chosen two great three-day weekends for Womanheart Spiritual Immersion retreats in 2010.
Our new location is a rustic, beautiful ranch in the Superstition Mountains just east of Phoenix that inspired so many women at this past October's immersion weekend.
On May 7-9, Sangeet will lead us through understanding and methods for Healing Our Deepest Relationships and on October 1–3 she will dive deep into the ancient knowledge of the Sacred Transition States of Death and Dying.

Yogi Bhajan said many times that “any country in which woman is not respected is doomed to failure.”
In fact, women’s studies were a major part of the “Kundalini Yoga movement” and spiritual awakening era started by him in the United States in the late 1960s.
Inspired by the intrinsic belief that women are the “hidden” leaders of society, he helped women understand why it was so important that they, the mothers and nurturers of mankind, walk a path of grace, spirituality and strength.
He showed women their true creative and intuitive potential – their Womanheart, as one teacher calls it.
For over 30 years, that teacher, Sangeet Kaur Khalsa, sat at Yogi Bhajan’s feet, as often as her busy life allowed, soaking in every possible bit of information on women’s wisdom. He trained her and often personally challenged and molded her. Then in 1991 she created Womanheart, perhaps her biggest contribution as a spiritual teacher.

It’s that special pre-dawn time known by Yogis as the Amrit Vela and a group of 39 women sit steadfast in meditation during another morning of sadhana.
As they chant the “Wahe Guru” mantra, the stars, so clear in the Arizona desert sky, start giving way to a few golden rays of sunlight that glint over the red buttes in front of them.
After several minutes of meditation, one of them slowly opens her eyes and the beauty of the desert nature becomes as blinding as the glowing sun that illuminates her face.
She is moved to tears of joy and gratitude.

Easy and Energizing Yoga, Peaceful Meditations

They have been there since they gathered in the still pre-dawn darkness an hour earlier, engaging in simple, energizing yoga, deep breathing techniques and chanting. Their voices rose before the song of the first bird. And, as retreat leader Sangeet Kaur Khalsa tells them, it is their voices and divine presence that outshines the sun.
It is a sacred start of a most sacred day. It is known as sadhana which means "daily spiritual practice".

All at the retreat look forward to this because it is a time when they experience their special relationship with Creator and, in that experience, they discover how very special they are.
