It wasn't a big shindig like last year for Sangeet's 70th. This year Sangeet celebrated it on the Full Moon meditation night and we all had a great time with our family, friends, and of course, food! Many joined us from all over the Valley.
After 31 minutes of chanting the "Ra Ma Da Sa" mantra (Siri Gaitri mantra), extra powerful healing energies came to charge up the group that special evening, elevating and filling all with pure light. The icing on the chanting cake was Sangeet playing the gong that made us each feel like we were wrapped up in our favorite comfy blanket, safe and loved. After the gong, we went around the meditation circle and shared our experiences and thoughts. However, as soon as that was over, everyone was up and over at the table for the most awaited treat of the evening: the birthday cakes! The birthday "stars" Sangeet and Siri Chand gathered around their two cakes as everyone blessed them with their wishes for a happy birthday. You can see the fun in the slideshow below.
