Dear Friends, This life is a big trick, a magic show, a game of hook and be hooked – all designed to get us to buy into this Hollywood-esque reality and forget ourselves, our true essence, our soul. Most folks spend more time in a day on the cell phone talking to various other folks over meaningless nonsense than we do in a month talking to our own soul. I got a fortune cookie recently that read, “You are what you think about all day long.” Wow – right on! For most folks, that’s a scattered melange of not-very-important stuff along with a pile of worries. Did you know the true power of worry? Worry has the same power as prayer, only on the negative side. That’s why most people find their worries come true – they’re so invested in repeating them, and at the same time they don’t believe prayers are answered. How ironic. The way to resolve that is to talk with your soul daily. Talk and listen. So how do you talk to your soul? By keeping it in mind, in your daily thoughts, your prayers and meditations. For most people their soul is quite literally “out of sight and out of mind.” Did you know your soul knows all about you? Yep, all about your dreams and your worries, as well as your destiny, your purpose in this lifetime. Now wouldn’t you like to know about that? What if you could rise each morning and talk to that soul? It starts with meditation and prayer, and remembering God with gratitude. You see, your soul is part of God, a micro-God so to speak. So when you talk to God you’re also talking to your soul. It’s your guiding spirit, your light. Only a couple of weeks ago I watched 40-plus women grow happier talking to their souls each day at our Womanheart Retreat. Their souls rose before the sun rose and their faces shone with joy as they chanted and meditated together. No worries. Only a focus on the one true relationship between their little self and the Great Self we call God. For nearly two hours each morning they started their day in this manner, and so God gave them much strength throughout the rest of the day. I think of it as tithing one-tenth of our day to God, and in return God makes the best of the rest of the day for us. So we experience the truth that we are never alone, but always supported. Now as summer dwindles into fall, several of us are embarking on a great pilgrimage of the soul to India – a journey beginning with a trek into the Himalayas to a beautiful temple up at 15,000 feet and culminating in the heartland of the northern province of Punjab at the Golden Temple and its healing waters. Nearly three weeks of days and nights spent communing with our souls. We will take you all with us in prayer and ask for a healing of your pains and worries. You are all so dear to us. Let your mind be filled with thoughts of gratitude to your soul and to God for this precious life we have been given. Gratitude will get you everywhere. Bless you in all ways always! |

To hear Sangeet's message, click on "RealAudio" or "WMA" above. "RealAudio" and "WMA" are different types of audio files. You can click on either one, it just depends on which sound player software your computer has. "RealAudio " requires a "RealOne" or "RealAudio" player (or compatible) and "WMA" requires a "Windows Media" player (or compatible). "RealAudio" tends to be a little more reliable and better sounding, while "WMA" (built into Windows) is more wide spread. You can't hurt anything by clicking on either one. If nothing happens or an error message pops up, then your computer doesn't have the appropriate software installed. If that is the case, you can get either one of the free players by clicking here. |
