"The Power of Prayer -
Experience it!

Hear Sangeet's Message as "RealAudio" / "WMA" / "MP3".   I need help with audio...

Dear Friends,

Prayer definitely is answered - it only depends on how much of your heart you put into it! You can't just pray by rote or mouth words from your mind. Prayer has to be delivered in your own words and in a way that delivers ALL of you. That can only happen when you fully engage your heart.

I had a stunning example of this only a week ago.

I was in New Mexico for six days of council meetings advancing our international yoga teacher training programs as well as the direction of the international Sikh ministry. I arrived with some elation in my heart, having just found a new home for our upcoming Womanheart retreat. Our former retreat home had raised prices and we had searched long and hard to find another one. It felt like a last-minute rescue just two days before I left.

Then on Monday afternoon, Hari Nam called to say that part of the retreat center would be under construction the very week we planned to be there. My heart sank. What, no Womanheart this year? For a moment I was overwhelmed by grief at such a loss. Then I started to pray and I mean pray hard. "Please, God, find us a place for this summer! And it has to have only these dates." I gave God three choices of dates, from most desirable to least.

Then I gathered my energies and went on to that day's meeting. That afternoon, my acupuncturist in Santa Fe told me about a retreat center just south of there which turned out to be a gem of a place with the right dates available for us. But too pricey again!

I started praying again, and others joined in. I knew God was working for us with some resolution somewhere. God delivers but sometimes it takes time.

I've seen so many miracles come through prayer. There was a time a lost computer was returned, two days after it had been left in a shopping basket one dark and sleepy night in Trader Joe's parking lot. No other power could have returned it when it was clearly in someone else's hands. Two hours after prayer we got a phone call from a store manager who had heard about its loss, saying it had just been turned in. What had I said to God? I had simply turned it over to God, saying, "Please, please if someone has taken it, move their heart to return it. I don't know how you can do this but I know you can."

God makes miracles happen everyday. God uses people to deliver them - like my friend with the retreat center in Santa Fe. But God hadn't given up on us holding Womanheart in Arizona.

Sure enough, a few days after I returned from New Mexico we got an email query from our original retreat folks saying they were still holding the dates for us and asking if we were still interested. After a little negotiating, and more prayer, they lowered their initial price increase somewhat and we had a deal. So Womanheart will still be at home in Arizona this August 3-6! Whoopee!

I am so grateful. Our staff and all the ladies who come to Womanheart will be grateful. God's caring and involvement in our lives never stops. All you have to do is call on that help, with all your heart.

Bless you in all ways always!

Help for Hearing Sangeet's Message

To hear Sangeet's message, click on "RealAudio", "WMA", or "MP3" above. "RealAudio", "WMA", and "MP3" are different types of audio files. You can click on any of them, it just depends on which sound player software your computer has. "RealAudio " requires a "RealOne" or "RealAudio" player (or compatible), "WMA" requires a "Windows Media" player (or compatible), and "MP3" requires an MP3 player. "RealAudio" tends to be a little more reliable and better sounding, "WMA" is built into Windows, and "MP3" is very universal.

"RealAudio" and "WMA" will (generally) stream, that is, the audio will start playing just a few seconds after clicking on the link (no need to down load the file to play). "MP3" (generally) doesn't stream, but rather your computer's MP3 player software will prompt you to down load the file to your computer for playing.

You can't hurt anything by clicking on any of them. If nothing happens or an error message pops up, then your computer doesn't have the appropriate software installed. If that is the case, you can get either one of the free players by clicking here.
