"You Never Know!"

You never know the power of prayer
until someone prays for you.

You never know how to reach someone's heart
until you can come from yours.

You never know how much you forget
until someone remembers you.

You never know how to talk to a child
until you talk to the child in you.

You never know how to forgive and let live
until someone does that for you.

You never know how well you did
until life is finally through.

You never know how right you are
until being right no longer matters.

You never know the touch of love
until you love everyone you touch.

You never know about humankind
until you become one kind human.

You never know about sweetness
until you taste it in yourself.

You never know the meaning of courage
until you are willing to stand for something.

You never fully know living
until giving is effortless.

You never really know God
until you accept yourself as good.

You never really know your goodness
until you see the goodness in all,

and then you really know and really see
that God lives in us all.
