This is a time of new beginnings, a time when all life is rising to new levels, a time when relationships are being forged with new consciousness and commitment.

In that light, I am blessed to be able to make a rare and wonderful announce-ment to all of you. On Sunday, June 16th at our Summer Solstice celebrations in New Mexico's magical Jemez Mountains north of Santa Fe where more than a thousand people gather each year for spiritual awakening through yoga and meditation, I will enter into the state of holy matrimony with my longtime friend and business partner, Hari Nam Singh. Over the 18 years we have shared and worked together, the bond between us has grown as we forged the work of The Healing Source and served its mission as teachers and healers.

Marriage to us as Sikhs is not a joining of personalities. Marriage is a commitment to the God in each other - and to elevating God in each other. Other than my beloved teacher Yogi Bhajan who has blessed our marriage, no one in my life has been more of a support to my growth. At times we have presented enormous challenges to each other, but that is the way of growth and through prayer and meditation we grew on. God has always been with us, in our hearts and minds, and we continue to grow stronger.

Now our two souls will merge as one. As Yogi Bhajan has often said, "Marriage is a carriage unto infinity," and we will live as one soul in two bodies. And it is a marriage not for one lifetime, but for all eternity. That is the vow we take and live.

I invite all of you to come to the wedding on Sunday, June 16th starting at 9:30 a.m. One or two other couples may be married at the same time. Many in our Healing Source community already plan to attend the full eight-day Solstice event. You can, of course, come just for that weekend - Saturday the 15th is Peace Prayer Day and the Sacred Healing Walk of the Hopi tradition, and then Sunday is the wedding service. Hari Nam Singh and I would be so happy to greet you there!

For those who cannot attend, there will be an official reception at our home in Phoenix on June 29th. Please join us and celebrate also the rebirth of our souls as one.

Before that event, I am inviting you to a birthday celebration marking my 63rd year of life on Monday June 10th at 7 p.m. at my home.
